Deep Creek Beverage on Garrett Highway in McHenry, Maryland — the storefront and its Beer, Wine, Liquor sign seen from the parking lot

Drive-thru liquor store · McHenry, MD · Deep Creek Lake Deep Creek Beverage

Beer, wine, spirits, kegs and ice — minutes from Wisp Resort and the lake. Your weekend is already handled. We just need you to pull up.

Why we're different

Pull up to the window and never get out of the car.

It is 4:40 on a Friday, there is nothing in the fridge but ice, and nobody wants to shop right now. So don't. Tell us what you are doing tonight and somebody puts it in your hands — spirits, a case, a keg, a bag of ice — through the drive-thru window.

What we carry

Beer, wine, spirits and kegs for Deep Creek Lake.

If it gets poured at this lake, it’s on our shelves. Walk in or pull up, tell us what you are doing tonight, and somebody will put it in your hands — and if you are hunting one specific bottle, call and we will walk the shelf for you.

Spirits

Bourbon · Whiskey · Rye · Scotch · Irish · Tequila · Mezcal · Rum · Gin · Vodka · Cognac · Liqueurs

Top shelf down to the everyday handle — plus whatever allocated bottles we get our hands on.

Wine

Red · White · Rosé · Sparkling · Prosecco & Champagne · Maryland wine

A cabernet worth opening by the fire, and a bottle worth twelve dollars on a Tuesday. Both matter.

Craft & domestic beer

Local & Maryland craft · Regional craft · IPAs · Imports · Domestics · Singles · Six-packs · Cases · 30-racks

Build your own six-pack, or take the case that keeps a rental house happy all week.

Kegs

Half kegs · Quarter kegs · Domestic · Craft · Local · Taps, tubs & ice

To order for rentals, weddings and reunions. Call a couple of days ahead and we load it through the drive-thru.

Seltzer & canned cocktails

Hard seltzer · Margaritas · Espresso martinis · Spritzes · Canned wine · Ready-to-drink

The category that quietly took over the lake. Cold, portable, no glass on the boat.

Shots, minis & party volume

Shooters · 50ml minis · Party bottles · Bulk & event orders · Cups & koozies

Bachelorette weekend, birthday on the dock, a house of twelve — we have stocked all of it.

Mixers, ice & the rest

Bagged ice · Tonic & soda · Juice · Bitters · Garnish · Energy drinks · Non-alcoholic

The stuff everybody forgets until they are standing in a rental kitchen at nine at night.

Ask the locals

Deep Creek Lake alcohol laws, answered by the locals.

Do you have a drive-thru?

Yes — the drive-thru window is the whole idea. Pull up, tell us what you need, and we hand it out the window. Beer, wine, liquor, seltzers, mixers, bagged ice, even a keg loaded straight into the back of your truck. You never get out of the car.

Do you deliver alcohol at Deep Creek Lake?

No — and honestly, the drive-thru is faster than waiting on a delivery. Pull up to the window, tell us what you need, and you are back on the road in a couple of minutes. Coming off the mountain in ski boots, or towing a boat? That is exactly what the window is for.

Can you buy alcohol on Sunday in Garrett County?

Yes. Our Sunday hours are listed just above, and Sunday afternoon is the quiet, easy time to come in if you are stocking a cabin for the week.

Can you drink on the boat at Deep Creek Lake?

Passengers can — whoever is driving cannot. Maryland Natural Resources Police enforce boating under the influence the same way troopers enforce DUI, and they are out on summer weekends. Pick your sober captain before you leave the dock.

One more thing worth knowing: most rental boats and marinas ban glass outright, and nobody wants broken glass on a dock. Point at anything in the store and we will tell you whether it comes in a can, or hand you the version that does.

What are the alcohol rules in Deep Creek Lake State Park?

Alcohol is restricted inside the state park — generally limited to full-service cabins rather than camper cabins or public areas, and permits are a thing. Check the current park rules before you pack a cooler for the day-use area.

Do you sell kegs for Deep Creek Lake rentals?

Yes — half and quarter kegs, domestic, craft and local, plus taps, tubs and ice. Call a couple of days ahead to reserve one and it is cold and waiting when you arrive; we will load it through the drive-thru so nobody has to carry it across a parking lot. If you are feeding a full rental house, tell us how many people and we will tell you whether a keg or cases makes more sense.

Can you supply alcohol for a wedding or large event in Garrett County?

Yes. Bulk beer, wine and liquor for weddings, family reunions, corporate weekends and big birthdays around Deep Creek Lake. Call ahead with your numbers and we will help you work out quantities, then load the whole order into your vehicle through the drive-thru instead of you wrestling it through a grocery store.

How close are you to Wisp Resort?

Minutes. We are on Garrett Highway in McHenry, the commercial hub for the lake — so we are on the way for most of the rental houses, the marinas and the mountain. Directions are just above.

Do you have that one bottle nobody else has?

Call and ask. Somebody here will physically walk the shelf and tell you yes or no in a minute — there is no online stock list to be wrong about it. If we do not have it, we will usually tell you who at the lake does.

Rules change and enforcement varies — check the current Maryland DNR and Garrett County regulations before you rely on anything here.
